Good morning! While I was back in Maryland I had the opportunity to capture Matt & Valerie’s engagement session at Gettysburg College and at a friend’s farm in Carroll County! These college sweethearts met during their undergrad at West Virginia University! This is one of those “love at first sight” kind of stories… Val knew from the moment she met him that he would change her life forever. After many requests to go on a date, Val finally said yes! As she described it to me “We fell in love hard and fast and haven’t been able to stay away from each other since!”

For Matt’s birthday in November, Val made dinner reservations at Ouzo Bay in Harbor East – They made it downtown just in time to catch the sunset over the water! Little did Val know while she was admiring the most perfect sunset, Matt was planning something special. Matt looked at her and said, “This has been the best birthday ever, but the only thing that would make this birthday better is if you spent every birthday with me for the rest of my life” and got down on one knee!! AH! I am tearing up just thinking about it! I couldn’t be more excited to be capturing such precious moments for these two and I cannot wait for their wedding next year. Its going to be one for the record books!! Congratulations again, Matt & Val!
