Andrew & Courtney’s Wedding

I cannot believe I am actually blogging this wedding today for two reasons: 1. Courtney and I attended High School together & were in the same group of friends so to have captured her wedding day and to see how far she’s come as a woman is so surreal and beautiful to me. 2. I feel like it was just a week ago I captured their engagement session! Andrew & Courtney made it official last Friday at the Links at Gettysburg and it was beautiful! The whole day was filled with shades the most gorgeous coral & navy, the light was soft and romantic and to top it off I captured some of my favorite Bride & Groom portraits! Its funny the things you don’t notice about yourself until someone points them out to you- Courtney mentioned during the portraits “When I hear Lauren getting excited about the shots, I know they’ll be good” and she’s totally right. Whenever I take portraits and I get a shot I realllllly love I always say “AH! Love” or “AH this is so beautiful” out loud while I get all jittery and excited. (The feeling is something similar to getting butterflies when you are with the person you love- those exact moments are the reasons why I know this job is my calling.) So not only was this wedding special because I got to capture a friend marrying the love of her life but I also learned a little about myself. Thank you Courtney & Andrew for having me be such a small part of your beautiful wedding day. Hope you’re honeymoon is amazing! Xo
