As many of you know, from April until November my job takes up 95% of my time. As a wedding photographer you sacrifice weekends off most of the year to capture some of the most beautiful and special weddings. Although during the middle of the year I don’t get much time off I cant complain because that means during the Thanksgiving/Christmas/ New Years Seasons I get to relax and spend extra time with my family! Its become somewhat of a tradition after the wedding season comes to a close we take a trip somewhere where I can leave my camera at home and truly relax. This years trip we traveled to the small island of Sint Maarten! I’m not joking when I tell you this- Sint Maarten is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Everything is colorful, the people are unbelievably nice and the water is crystal clear for miles! Its the absolute perfect place to go to relax. My parents, Eddie & I traveled all around the island exploring the different beaches and tasting the local French/ Creole cuisine! We traveled to Orient Bay, Marigot, Cupecoy Beach, Philipsburg Mullet Bay, and Maho Beach (Just to name a few!) On Thanksgiving we took a day trip to Anguilla, where the sand was as fine as dust and the beaches looked like something out of a magazine. It was just stunning. As I reflect this morning on such a beautiful trip I am beyond thankful for this career of mine that allows me to explore the world with my family. If anyone ever has thought about traveling to Sint Maarten- please GO! You won’t regret it! Oh, and try Topper’s Rum…. You’re welcome in advance! Enjoy!
