Weekend Recap

Weekend Recaps

March 9, 2015

The past couple of months I decided to really enjoy my off-season and spend as much time as I could with Eddie enjoying our new home. This past weekend was filled with bike rides to the beach, brunch on the water, a bbq festival that ran out of BBQ (how does that happen?!), and lots of puppy walks with Tyson. It may not seem like much or even something blog-worthy but as a wedding photographer most of my weekends are spent away from home so these moments are always extra special to me. I am a firm believer that life is about embracing the little moments in life and appreciating where you are currently.

Next Wednesday, I will be flying back to Maryland to kick off our 2015 wedding season (I cant believe its already here!!) My camera bags are already packed and now I need to get started on packing up my bag that will stay in Maryland for a majority of the year. But, since I hate packing that will have to wait just a few more days… For today, I will be sipping on some warm coffee & designing the last few wedding albums for my 2014 couples! Below is a little something that has been weighing on my heart the past couple of days and thought I’d share it with you all…Enjoy + Happy Monday y’all Xo

If you aren’t happy, make a change.

^ That, is one statement that has been on my mind a lot this past weekend. For anyone struggling to make a decision, or scared/ nervous about whether things will work out or not please remember, you will only regret the chances you never took. Never live your life thinking “what if” or “if only”. You only have one life to live so live it to the absolute fullest! If your heart yearns for warm weather and salty air- move. If you are unhappy at a job that leaves you feeling empty- change your career. If your heart is not satisfied in a relationship- have the courage to find what you’re looking for. AND DO NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT! I see so many people struggling to find happiness doing things that are drowning them emotionally and its heartbreaking. I just want to say that you can make a change and it will be okay. It will always be okay.

Find peace in knowing you are doing what is best, for you.
